I don't have time for another RL game. But there is nothing to stop me running another one on here, bearing in mind it could be quite slow. So my first question is who would be up for it?
I'm thinking The Dread Gazebo could become the home for my oft-mentioned Dragon-King campaign (with RL sessions like 3 times a year at most). I'd be willing to take up to 8 players. Obviously we can't get started til the Scroll of the Lesser Races comes out, but we can start looking at the old Players' Guide and Ruins of Rathess for inspiration.
Basically the plot is that you are ancient Dragon Kings. You went in to stasis just before the great contagion. You wake up, it is some point between 100 and 1,000 years later. That is all you can tell.
We'd be looking at creating characters with a huge number of freebie points. Though I'd be imposing certain minimums on some things too.
What do people think?

I'm inCould you not just make it 1st edition, and then update when the 2nd ed material comes out?
Or perhaps just update ourselves. There aren't that many charms that would need tweaking, surely.

I'd hate to miss out, but I really don't think I have time atm.

I'm sure we could manage to update all the published DK stuff to SE.
I really want to play that character we discussed for the game, BSR. I'd on;y be able to if it is fairly slow-moving, though.

We could in theory start off in 1st ed. But I reckon it would be easier not to. Especially since we wouldn't be ready to start for a while and it can't be that long til the book is out.
Blackrat, I'm thinking this will be a really slow paced game. Cos I don't have enough time to do to much myself either.
Olaf, what did we discuss? I think I remember but we should reiterate to make sure. Perhaps via pm.

I'd be up for PBP Dragon-Kinging. Have no idea of a character yet though.

But it took your over 3 hours to declare you intention so there will be massive bp penalties.
The book isn't on the WW release schedule and so we're talking 6 months at least. Why would we wait that long? What would we wait at all?
Can I call angry, angry, violent Dragon King, who's secretly a lovely person but is upset and frustrated at a wolrd he never made.

I want to play a Pterok. Beyond that, I don't care.

Like I said, not for a while. The book is not out yet. It's next in the "Scrolls of Esoteric Wisdom" series so it can't be that far away.

Speaking of which, JD, does SH have a CD writer? If so could you post me the Demon books by any chance?

I read the DK stuff today, on the way to buy the Lunar book. Now I want to be a Pterok too. Sigh.

Which one are Pteroks? Are they the northern flying ones?
I always liked the hardcore Southern Ones.
LH, can we open up a new forum section. We can start discussing background and character ideas. The fact that we can start for a while is cool in some ways, cos we can work on characters for a lot longer.
I've been thinking about starting in 1st ed and then updating but from what I remember the dragon king stuff was not well done in first ed. And I think the extra time will help me do much better and make the stuff much cooler.
