After reporting back to K, Azir will head back to the tavern to try and get some rest and recover his depleted energy reserves. If nothing disturbs him during the night, then in the morning he'll head do a quick tour of the city's wounded - anybody who requests permanent relief from pain will receive it - before heading out to our forces. There he'll do mundane treatment of infection and general injuries, only using Essence efficiently on the most critical of wounds.
Heart of Flint should wear off sometime mid-afternoon.

ok;
i think we've taken care of most of the loose ends. the medical situation has been taken care of efficiently rather than spectacularly, so i'll get revised troop numbers out soon.

now that you have the report back from Azir and Ferric you can make an informed decision as to the final question on that. You're charging the dog elemental to track Slavion and report his location back to you. where are you releasing it?

At the deserted building at the end of the escape tunnel (assuming I get confirmation from the one who I chased down the other fork that's where Slavion went)
I'd also like to grab Ferric and follow the hound from above.
(I also assume I don't have to say stuff like 'if you reckon he got on a horse then track the horse)

Well then I give him the required instructions. Hopefully, since I intend to be with him for the forseeable future there should be no problem with ironing out any kinks for the first period of time.

The hound snuffles around the entrance to the building coming in and out a few times. Finally it lifts it's head and begins to trot purposefully down the street.
It takes a winding and indirect route across the city, occasionally stopping at other buildings and once again snuffling around the entrance. however, after about half an hour he reaches the river, gazing mournfully up at you.
FYI: there are three bridges across the river, and it's fordable at one point as well. there are also several small rowing boats crossing back and forth. larger vessels seem to be present but all are moored. the previous aerial recconaissance didn't spot any vessles moving away form the city.

The next day Kairos retrieves the increasingly manky head of Manaas from it's prominent perch and using the same empty ballroom as the previous day proceeds to coduct his second elemental summoning.
Summoning the Undertow he begins to cautiously and deliberately explain what he is trying to find out. Offering his own secret in payment and example he waits to see if the Undertow can communicate what he is hoping for.
Sadly nothing happens. Kairos curses, wishing he had more examples. He cannot be sure they would help, certain secrets are protected from such minstrations, but another example of what he is looking for would allow him to be sure.

I'll offer the example of my father's father. The whole family's lineage is a secret off sorts.
Also, if anybody else has a father whose identity is secret, now would be a good time to make yourself known. K will tactfully ask around and let anybody who needs to speak to the undertow alone.
As for the hound, I'll get it across the river and then leave it to its hunt

it can't find the trail again on the other side.
with carefully selected information, Kairos begins to weave the threads of thought within the mind of the undertow. with more than just the one secret he begins to feel more secure that he has laid the necessary pattern of information into the mind of the creature. it seems to reinforce this impression as it's visage brightens. it seems to be communicating something to you, but is still having difficulty getting it's point across. You get images in your mind of blackness and loss, but nothing else.
