Re: (7)
I checked the book but there doesn't seem to be any elementals with anything better that survival 3 when it comes to tracking. Can we create a non-canon one who can track better?
If so, I will summon it as soon as possible and send it after our missing councillor (possibly before Cold Light of Day - I don't know when I'll get the time).
If it is capable of apprehending a heroic mortal bureaucrat then I shall instruct it to do so. Otherwise, I shall summon another elemental and send it with the tracker to grab Slavion and bring him back.
Is this even possible? Do I need to roll?

haven't read the relevant spell recently. how similar is it to demon summoning?
i'm not really sure why there would be an elemental who was good at tracking, or why particularly there would be one with high survival. but there's also no real reason why not, so i guess we can make one.
as for tracking slavion, it won't be easy. he has quite a start and it's not exactly the perfect environment for finding a trail...

Just quickly whilst I had a thought (will deal with Azir's proper bit this evening or tomorrow morning) - is the city spirit likely to be any help in knowing what's going on or providing info on Maanas' father?
Also, are there no Wood elementals who would have high Survival?

Potentially, yes. But you already met him remember, and he didn't have a great deal to say.
Why would they? Survival is for finding your way, finding food etc. They know their own domain. And they don't need food.

Bad teacher! Improper apostrophe use - tut tut tut. I dunno, standards of education falling, etc. etc. But yeah, I see what you're saying on the elementals. I remember we met the city spirit, but he seemed rather intimidated when Maanas was in power. Just wondering if he would be a bit more amenable/talkative now that he's gone.

I switched from demon summoning to elemental summoning because we had the rules for elementals.
However, all the rules do is confirm how useless elementals are compared to demons. I had thought the balance was 'demons were evil but elementals couldn't be abused and served you for a shorter time'. It turns out that it's 'demons are evil and elementals are pointless'.
When is the demon book out? Can I switch back?

Apologies for the apostrophe, I changed what i was saying in the middle of a sentence. I was going to say 'they know where they are in their own domain'. Then realised that wasn't quite what I mean.
It's up to you. elementals can be quite useful, but for this sort of job you really want a demon.

Bah - I was wrong. Elementals are cool, just not as good as demons for finding and/or destroying things.

Yeah, it's more a matter of being good for different purposes than just being useless.

Rightho. Have checked this with MDV btw
(7)
After the events in Aftermath...
Head back to Council Chambers Tell them I want to find Slavion and bring him back to rule with the council Ask whether Slavion took The Other Fork in the escape tunnel, or what. If yes, ask where that fork led to and whether there was some place Slavion would go once he got to the end If no, ask where the deuce he might be

Yes he did take the other fork. It comes up in the basement of a disused building on the edge of the city. No one knows where he might have gone from there. All the places he tended to frequent where in the inner city (which is what they call the palace complex).

OK
K grabs Ferric and heads down there. He will also grab Azir if he's finished as he wants to come find missing councillor
Asks Ferric (and maybe Azir for the sight charms) to start an an aerial search for the guy outside of the city (he couldn't have got more than a few miles, even if he could somehow get outside of the gate before they were ordered open a short while ago)
Begins to summon an elemental for tracking him (I'm sure it won't be as good as one of those deer made out of tiny white worms (Nemoah?) but hopefully it will do the job)
MDV has confirmed that Ferric will be up for the search

Ok. I would like a more detailed description of what Ferric(/Azir) are doing and where they are going then. Kairos can certainly summon an elemental - we just need to work out what (though we can still invent one ourselves if we want.).

Will wait until my banner has fully dissipated before leaving the room, then do the following: 1. Pick up Commander Essellee and find out if the troops have had any sightings of Councillor Ysa. 2. Introduce the commander to the rest of the council and recommend that he has been invaluable in defence of the city. Also suggest that house-to-house searches of the districts surrounding the abandoned house be performed to ensure that Slavion isn't still in the city. 3. Advise the council that Mistress Sasseryn's injuries were not as critical as they first appeared and she should be up and about tomorrow. BSR - do you want me to make the roll for WMCT or will you? 4. Send a small medical team who assisted me during the day outside the walls (if possible) to establish an emergency triage facility to see to the wounded there. 4. At K's request, I'll join Ferric in an aerial search, despite the impending darkness, activating Sight Beyond Sight once airborne. Expanding spiral search pattern radiating out from the exit house and sweeping round the city should be most effective method.

1. Not to his knowledge, command chains are being reestablished, but as a councillor he might well have commandeered any troops he ran into. 2. Done. They suggest that house-to-house searches are best left til morning with the partying still going on, and the lack of fully fit, rested fighting men. 3. I have. It works. 4. Much appreciated by all concerned. The difficulty is that infection has already set in to the wounds of many soldiers (it's a serious problem in all battles, there's not much more they can do - it'll likely require intervention from you in some way, probably involving charms or crafting).
5. Ferric and Azir take to the air high above the city, and guided by Azir's superbly acute vision they begin to spiral outwards. The roads are sparsely populated, there are a few groups of people not far from Maluka and heading out, but no lone figures, and no one who grabs your attention. You can scan people very effectively from up here, but you don't really know what Slavion Ysa looks like.
