I'll stick the list and stuff up here asap, but in the mean time do people think that the in person draft combined with a production line painting type thing is a good idea. we could potentially just run the draft from here as well....

I prefer in person. Admittedly there are fewer of us than in AD, but the experience there nevertheless suggests an e-draft will be long and painful (as does the experience from trying to run IC combat using these forums). Also, in person means we get to meet up and play games

Yeah, I'm with the in person. Like, we can announce stuff like "The Revengers' Tragedy are on the clock" and stuff. Painting production line also good idea.
Any idea on provisional date?

Yeah, I'm up for a live draft and painting session. I think I'd prefer to paint my own team after the event but I'm definitely up for painting other people's models.
Hopefully I can grab some paints and tools from my parents' house in order to reduce the amount of stuff we need to buy
Date obviously needs to be after we have all the models we need built and undercoated.

Agree that we need the models, but we could build and undercoat them at the Draft.

Building/undercoating at the draft isn't a good idea IMO. Once built, you need to wait for the glue to dry properly. That'll take at least an hour (more if you need to green stuff a joint on a big guy). Then the undercoat takes an hour to dry before being suitable for painting. If we've got to paint almost 100 models, I think we'll quickly run out of time.

I concur: Beej's painting guide, which I follow religiously, suggests allowing quite a bit longer than the above for drying times (I have found they do need a long time to dry), and two layers of undercoat. Plus undercoating is an easy job for one person to do on their own, as it just involves waving a spray can around, then turning the minis over and waving it again!
That said, cleaning and glueing the minis might be a suitable job for the day, if we haven't managed to get that far by then.

Cool, wasn't aware of long drying times. I reckon we should try and get the Draft done asap, to keep up the enthusiasm (I've too much enthusiasm for this than is healthy, I think), so cleaning and glueing minis at the draft would be cool, then maybe do undercoating later. I suppose that means that people couldn't take away their teams on the day, but since some of us wanted others to paint our teams that might not be a problem.

might well be the best location - since we have people scettered all over. we could host here also - but not sure we'd really have space for the painting production line.

What do people think about the draft order. The more I think the more muddled I become. Teplin has done some great things with his team in the AD league. Grey Wolf won some tough games against Cardinal Sin. Johan Denerad has played huge numbers of games...
I guess it'll be self correcting in the long run, so we don't need to worry too much I guess.

I'm happy wherever I go in the draft order, but I probably shouldn't be below 6th, as I'm pretty convinced BSR and LH are better at the game than me.
237 games online, to be precise. Sadly, I haven't really got much better.
