In yet another glorious display of WW editorial control, I've just encountered a quite glaring contradiction that may influence folks' excellency choices.
The write up for the 1st Sidereal Excellency (Essence Overwhelming) differs between the core book (p335) and the MoEP:Sidereals (p126), with the former being far more useful and possibly more in keeping with what the charm should do. So I'm ruling that we'll use the version presented in the core book.
In summary: 1st Sidereal Excellency, whilst normally allowing only +Essence dice, can expend motes to reduce any dice penalties to 0 before then adding +Essence dice.
(Alternatively, edit p126 to read: "If a Sidereal character suffers a dice-pool penalty, however, she may still spend motes with Essence Overwhelming to bring her dice pool penalty back up to zero dice before adding an additional...")

as i understand it though it reduces internal penalties - which does not include wound penalties or multiple action penalties. i think internal penalties are rare enough for it not to be worthwhile. external penalties on the other hand....

There's been a fairly strong debate on the WW forums about the Sid excellencies recently. The wording in the Core Book (p335) says "any dice penalties" to the ability roll - i.e. wound, flurry and internal. (emphasis mine)
That makes the first exc actually quite a bit more useful than as given in the Sids book.

Just having a gander at the Character Sheets thread, everyone looking of the awesome. Although LH and U, BotBM isn't combo-able.

*Mental note: Bring book to read during combat sequences.* That may not be entirely necessary... I can definitely see 'uses' for a non-combatant while the muscle-bound ones open a can of demolitions on my antagonists

Okay folks, thanks for all the sheets and those who have sent backgrounds, etc - I don't think I have to use Astrology to reckon that this should be very interesting. Minor edits only to sheets now please - absolute cut-off point is Friday night as I'll be transcribing sheets on Saturday.

Screw RD's. I don't want to be remembered for wrecking a town.
We are wrecking the town, right?
