[*jaw drop* ] Azir pauses on the threshold of the room, brought short by the revelation heard behind him. Turning, his eyes briefly flash golden as he brings an enhanced perception to bear upon proceedings [activate AESS]. He frowns as he tries to sort through the information gleaned so far, racking his brain to see if anything comes to mind. [Trying to put together the details to see if I can identify him - Lore check if possible - will carry on trying to do so as he speaks/reveals more]

For the duration of this Kairos has been standing in the corner of the room, arms folded, a bored expression on his face. He didn't look up when he heard furniture being kicked around the room and, despite his shock, he doesn't look up now as he replies in a monotone.
'You're being ambiguous. Clarify: Was Manaas your son? If so, who was the other parent? If not, tell us who both parents were?'
To Slavion however, the questions seem to come from all corners of the room, whispered in different voices that penetrate right into his heart so that the answers are forming even before he has properly heard the question.

Raiden continues to stand over Slavion. The ex-bureaucrat looks uncomfortable as, tied to the toppled chair, the blood begins to go to his head.
The initial look of anger on Raiden's face has faded now, and he waits impassively for the answer to Kairos' question.

"What? No. My son was a common soldier, cut down like he was nothing by your blade, son of a yozi-whore! All of you will pay for your crimes, with eternal damnation in the desert of Malfeas. I curse you with every fibre of my being. I damn you by all that is unholy!."
He stops, and again breaths deeply, he is clearly trying to maintain some dignity and composure. It's not working very well, but each of you is forced to wonder how you would do in the same situation.
It's unclear whether the second question has even penetrated his own blazing mass of emotions, or if he has simply ignored it.

[*claps for the nice misdirection*]
Silently Azir berates himself for jumping to conclusions and not thinking things through properly. However, he remains guarded, scanning the room... just in case. Slavion's outburst, though, reminds him to double-check on the arrangements that had been made with regards to the large numbers of dead and ensure that the possibility of disease outbreak was negligible.

[Umm. I'm a bit surprised we are supposed to have gone into this interview without gathering some information on Slavion. Do we not have a file on him? If not:]
Raiden paces away from Slavion, to stand within whispering distance of Kairos. Under his breath, and facing away from Slavion, he mutters, "Unless you wish to rip the information from his mind using magic, I suggest we leave him to stew for a while. We can come back when I have found out whether he has any family left to threaten."

[The silence in the room is unfortunate for Raiden, or maybe Slavion just has very keen ears.]
"I wouldn't bother. You've already killed the last of them. My daughter-in-law is still alive, you're welcome to bring her here and torture her too, I never liked her very much, and misery loves company."
[Judge's Ear Techinque is still active. It hasn't registered any lies yet.]

Raiden turns back to Slavion.
"So. They are dead. You live, but all that you hope for is revenge. You hope to take your homeland and inflict corruption and chaos on it, so that your people will continue to suffer. That is why you set up your little operation, is it not?"

"Pity you don't understand the workings of the stuff you're using as curses. If you knew what you were talking about, you might have come up with a more accurate comeback. We are Chosen of the Unconquered Sun, God above all gods. Nothing to do with Yozis."
Fox opens his mouth to continue the explanation, and persuade this heretic of the glory of his Lord, but decides it perhaps isn't worth it at this stage. Beckoning the others outside the room for a second, he whispers,
"Don't torture him. He wants to hate us, and that'll just give him more reason to. I suggest we just leave him to dwell on the misery and hopelessness of his situation. Fury is a hard emotion to keep up, especially on prisoner's rations, and I reckon he'll be easier to talk to once the fire's gone out."

Azir nods along with Fox's words. "I concur. We could very easily just force him to into submission, batter his will until he caves and is left a battered husk. But Friend Fox is right - that just plays into his hands. Unless we were to just dispose of him, that is. Let him stew. We are in no hurry and we can spend the time setting other things to rights. Maybe if he sees how well we and the city are faring, it will stir him to more judiciously directed patriotism."

[Before anyone leaves the room, Slavion hurls his final tirade.]
"My homeland! My homeland...." He shakes his head "You came in here and took the head off my homeland. You kill all of us with will's strong enough to defy you and corrupt the rest. You have destroyed my homeland. I fight to return it. I fight to free it from your demonic tyrrany. While there is breath in my body I will fight to free us from your tyrrany.
You are the anathema. Demon-spawn, most hated and most wretched of all evils. You come from the vilest depths of hell, to pollute men's hearts, corrupt our souls and rule our broken bodies. I don't know why you came here, I don't know what lies you have told others, and what magics you have used to dominate their minds, but that is what has been done. I don't expect you to admit to it but that is truth. You cannot deny that the actions in Maluka are those of devils and you cannot deny that you are the anathema."
[This guy is pissing all over your valour and conviction, he's probably triggered a limit break condition for some of you - you can decide whether that's the case. If not you take 1 limit, if so take the limit detailed below;
Fox gains 3 limit, Kairos gains 2 limit, Azir gains 1 limit, Raiden gains 1 limit.]

Grey Wolf enters the room just as the tirade ends having been with the men for the rest of the time.
He stand solidly in the center of the room, feet firmly on the floor, staring deeply into Slavion's eyes for a few moments after he stops.
"Have you quite finished? Good. You are welcome to denounce us. It is what I would expect from a man who is unable to see the faults in his own system of rule. You have blindly followed a ruler without questioning the rules you follow and now you would denounce us? Despite this you are entitled to you feeling, as from your perspective we would be seen as invaders but your actions are miss guided. Do you not see that by causing unrest and civil war all you are doing is is making the situation worse for the common people who frankly do not care whether you rule, we rule or someone else from elsewhere rules. Do you not feel the least bit of guilt for the misery your actions cause to them?
[Am I right in saying that enemy-castigating solar judgment can be used to make a guilt / shame social attack? If not, can I just use a presence roll to do this?]

Fox returns to the room. He will not be taking limit without an argument...
[But I'll wait for Grey Wolf to finish, and for others to respond to the "let's not torture him" plan, if they want to.]

[Yeah, when I say take limit, this means I believe you are acting against the dictates of your strong virtues. If you refuse and do act as dictated by your virtues you can avoid the limit. This basically means doing something to oppose the situation that would cause you to take limit.
Grey Wolf - you are correct.]
"You walk in to my country and after what - 1 day? Tell me that I can't see the flaws? We may not have had the perfect system but we were on the way. We were a damn sight better off than most of our neighbours. You sit there and judge me after invading? After taking away the free will or lives of my comrades....
What. Gives. You. The. Right?"

Hearing this from just beyond the doorway, Azir murmurs, "History will vindicate us and our actions. Prior mistakes will be rectified." He walks off down the corridor. Though there may be a period of... 'adjustment' he privately admits in the recesses of his mind.
