[Excellent. When Lu gives up and we move on, then, she'll get it to follow us and take a better look at it while we're on the ship. (I'm guessing Lu's set herself up a bit of a workshop on the ship - perhaps for a +2 circumstance modifier? Maybe that's pushing my luck ]

[My initial thought was the same, but then I considered the size of the ship and the available space, and it seems less likely. Does the group have any planet-side permanent places available?]

[RE: fire building
Will scavenge anything flammable from around the rocks, if there's any shrubs etc. to speak of. If we have to go further afield (I think you said there were some wooded areas nearby during your description in game) will suggest going in teams of 2.]

[Wooded area is to the southeast, but is quite a long way. Certainly not practical for fire wood. The scrub can certainly be harvested, but it's hard to tell how well it will burn.]

[Guess I'll make some Survival checks for a) how much I can find and b) how well I think it will burn. How far back was it to the webs, and did they burn for very long at all? If not, we might be forced to burn some clothes/supplies]

[You can find plenty of scrub, and it'll burn ok, but it's a bit smelly and it doesn't last very long (compared to say, wood). The web burns away pretty quickly.]

[Is there snow? Enough for, say, an igloo?]

[No. It is not currrently snowing. The ground might be a little frosty, but precipitation of any kind seems to be a little rare.]

[Was there anything in the mine, or any storage facilities marked on the map that are near enough to walk to and back before nightfall?]

[We survived a night in the tunnels before now - worst comes to the worst, we can just go back in]

[Was there anything in the mine, or any storage facilities marked on the map that are near enough to walk to and back before nightfall?] [The only storage marked on the map is opposite the lift shaft. It seems distance wasn't a major consideration really. You can easily surmise that the miners tneded to move around on a conveyance of some kind.]

When Jackal comes back Y'Lemon asks him about the potential for a fire. After hearing the reply he takes a deep breath.
'I estimate we'll need to be at least a mile into the tunnel to shelter us from the cold - that's about a 20 minute walk so we can make it easily. It increases the risk of a spider attack, but if we clear a patch of web around us, we can easily light a fire to drive it back, provided we have enough warning' He looks at Pong appreciatively.
'It may be worth taking some of this scrub with us. Once it's flawed slightly, wrapping it between layers of clothes may give us some insulation to protect us on tomorrow's journey. We might also be able to use some web in a similar way. Unless anybody has a better idea I suggest we go now. The earlier we begin resting the earlier we can leave'. He looks around meaninfully 'I don't know how easy it will be to find shelter tomorrow night, so we need to get as far as possible during the day. Preferably to the ship, but at least to somewhere with better prospects for shelter'

Sheltering inside the cave, the cold isn' to bad, but the Twi'leks are both quite uncomfortable. Ping-pong awakes Jarakel a little too often to relight the fire, and in the morning more of the scrub has burned than perhaps you would like, but your through the first night. The air is cold and still, and a layer of frost lies heavy in the ground outside.

how did the attempts to create insulation for clothes using web and scrubs go? Do we have to roll?
