There are apparently explosives in the corpses of the Imperial Troopers. Exlosives that we can use to collapse the door into the basement before we die a lot. Lu is fixing my best friend, and Jackal is finding us a way out. Raffie, where are you?

I'm not sure this is quite appropriate for an OOC thread. surely this should be in the "Escape from the Basement of Doom" thread? Technically you haven't found the explosives yet (though you are about to), and Ylemon has already taken his actions so can't be barking more instructions yet.
I don't mind OOC discussion of the problem at hand, but there should be clearer distinctions in place.

Based on my experiences in KotOR, can I hack into a nearby computer system, look at all the security cameras, and overload various suspiciously-vulnerable components of nearby maintenance systems, thus electrocuting / gassing all enemies?
What do I roll?

funnily enough, the building just happens to have handily placed conduits lying around in all the areas where you might want to kill people. i loved KotOR but this world is a little more realistic. for example if a normal sword faces a lightsabre, the sword dies!

for example if a normal sword faces a lightsabre, the sword dies! Sure! Unless it's a vibroblade, of course, because they're made out of that chemical thingy that is able to stop a lightsabre blade. Right?

Luckily my backup character is a Jedi. Or a droid.
Sorry, scratch that. My backup character is a Jedi droid.

Luckily my backup alter ego is the Clinking Dog, a vicious (though clockwork) adamantine Scots Terrier.

technically i think that would be another droid, and hence not allowed by the campaign character creation rules

Not allowed by the character creation rules, sure, but remember this is my backup player. (To replace Blackrat, not Lu-Tsen.)
AFAIK, you haven't given us any rules saying that the players can't be droids. Or canines.

Alright, but if you fail to turn up as a mechanical dog next session this means you can't play.

Did we agree that we would stop immediately after communication with our sullustan buddy, and roleply the survival rolls we've made. Or are we going to start as we approach the downed Hidden Sun?

I need to look up rules and somebody's stolen my corebook. I'd quite like to know how you guys are planning to deal with the very cold night (we're talking -20 range). You've got enough food and water for the trip, so shelter and warmth are your only problems.
I'm hoping next session can begin with the Hidden Sun launching in to space, so there's not huge amounts to do, but there's certainly scope for some things to happen.
