Return from Mist Island

You present the eggs to Blantagiel and are feted as the conquering heroes of legend. A huge party is held in your honour and the Queen says that you may return any time to request the use of her crafting skills with each egg. She tells you that the mists may still impede your progress, but Zaph is returning to creation as well, and he will always be able to return.

You struggle out of bed the next day late, having enjoyed the party a little too much. And with Zaph head out from the small wooded realm. You emerge onto the shoreline with the water beginning to lap at your toes.

After a few moments of reflective silence, Kairos shrugs and silently summons his Azure Chariot. Whilst he waits for his anima to die down Kairos wonders whether he can think of an excuse to ride on the roof of the chariot again. Probably not.

He sighs and boards the chariot. When his companions are aboard he lifts the reins and heads downriver to Nexus with the first rays of the dawn sun on his back.

It's pretty much a two day flight from Mist Island to Nexus, and since the Azure Chariot only works in sunlight hours, you decide to stop back in Tredemin overnight.

It is that very night that you first have the dream. It is indistinct so far, all you can really recall is a little of the imagery and the tune. But that sense of imposing dread at the end stays with you too.
