Whilst reading through the Sidereal Astrology section, I noticed that Viziers are limited to only holding one RD per college.
Now, to my mind this seems a somewhat low number, so I'd like to invite suggestions as a way to reasonably increase the numbers you can have without being silly.
My initial thought is to allow one per college plus Essence extra RDs to a max of two per college. Does this seem fair?

One per dot of college would be my other suggestion, but your system seems as good.

One per dot of college wouldn't work because you could just amass a huge amount of endurance for one set of resplendencies (i.e. JD has Quiver 5, so 5 RDs of the Quiver could pool a lot)

Yeah, good point. Could still be based off college perhaps, but if you wanted to cap at two per college might not work so well.
Reckon your system might still be the best one then. Perhaps one per college and then additional ones capped at (essence-1) or (essence-2), since having more than three colleges is rare anyway just having essence seems to basically be increasing the limit to two per college regardless.

Seems reasonable to me - including BSR's modification above if you like. It sounds small, but as you say they're actually quite powerful.
A more complex system allowing more RDs (for cool character stuff) but keeping the power low would be to limit total Endurance per RD rather than (or as well as) total RDs. So perhaps 1 RD per dot in college, max. Endurance per RD = Ess. Or something. You can still get quite a lot of total Endurance if you're high in Ess and College - but then I think that's kinda fair enough, personally. It would be more faff, though, maybe.

That would give a player with enough time 20 endurance to spend in any college they had at 5... tbh, that might not be a bad thing, since last session my character ran through 2 destinies, simply making more when he needed them. This would cut that out.
I like the 2 destinies per college more, simply because you could say one was your ascending and one was your descending. (I know, I know, they're resplendent destinies, but hell) One positive, one negative. That's just (ill-conceived) fluffness though.

Yeah, but if you've got 4 Ess and rank 5 in a college, by my reckoning that makes you a powerful Sidereal! So 20 Endurance not such a big deal. Alternatively you could limit by Craft (Fate) or something, which people are less likely to have - but that seems like a meaningless wing-clip to me.

I think I'm gonna leave the system as is for now. If you need more disguises, then more colleges will have to be purchased.
What I will say is for those who don't want to bother rolling up individual RDs, then (assuming there's been sufficient time and opportunity) you can be assumed to be carrying misc RDs with short duration (up to 1 season) and 2 endurance remaining.

I think I'm gonna leave the system as is for now. By "as is" do you mean "as stated in the core book rules" or "as stated in the first post in this thread"? I do think one per college is a bit stingy, so would definitely prefer the latter

As per the book for now. Sorry. Will probably revisit the issue at some point later.
