A general question about PBP: Do we want it to read like a story? i.e. Should we be modifying / removing posts that don't read well? (With the possible exception of dice-rolls?) ---- Example: I've just asked BSR OOC a question about a particular action in the SW IC thread. I described the action IC, but posted the related question in [square brackets], as tradition dictates. Once the question is resolved (once I've made the roll, in this example), should I modify my post so it looks like I never asked the question? And should BSR remove his post that answers it? And, on a related note, I'll be adding in a [Rolls Repair 20 +8 = 28] comment (assuming I roll a natural 20 ) so that BSR can progress the scene, but should this be removed once BSR has reacted? ---- For the first question, I think my vote is for removing OOC stuff in general. I like to be able to read back over it afterwards without those distractions. Not sure about dice rolls, though. Not only are they more integral and less distracting, but sometimes it might be useful to look back at them. (e.g. In a conversation: "I roll 18 total - does he give me the map?" "Nope, he's pretty reluctant to part with that." "Ok. But does he at least point me in the right direction?" "Hmm... What was your roll?" "Oh. I deleted it." Ok, it's a crap example. But you see my point.) Any thoughts?

Certainly I'd be up for deleting things that aren't relevant anymore. Once I've got it written down on my character sheet or have internalised said info then yeah, get rid it of it for flowingness.

I think it makes sense. Fair ye well OOC stuff
But keep dice results. Dice results are fun.

Ermmmmm. I agree in principle, but in practice I think too much of the OOC information is often important. Whilst we could archive it elsewhere, that would quickly become impractical. I can't think of any examples, but I'm sure sometimes it's important to keep the OOC information as well. Even if it's just so a GM can check the answer he gives later for consistency.
