"Wait a second - who is this queen, and what's the pact Raiden's supposed to have made? It seems like we oughta know that before we go charging off to swear it again... Also, Zaph was back in town a few days ago - you remember Zaph? ... No, you probably never met him. Well, his mum's some sort of fair folk too, and he says she needs some help. Seems like that might be connected."

'You could be right about connections here. In any case I have had dreams filled with former failures which tells me I must go east to find something which was lost - my sword is still somewhere within the wylds and I wish to reclaim it.
Therefore, if some are planning to go there I will be going and damn the danger.

At Ferric's words, Azir spun to face his fellow Twilight with incredulity in his expression. "Your... mentor? My dream had me standing over the plans... for expanding a subterranean manse. A manse which had a partner floating in the skies above Hollow. A manse to which I went to dinner... with my assistant and research colleague..."
He paused, eyes somewhat glazed though whether from looking back through the mists of hazy recollection or from the slight tear that seemed to be welling up... or both, he could not tell. He stopped himself raising a hand to trace the contours of that beautiful face from history, now overlaid on Ferric's.
"Her... Your... name was Ahlanna. We decided against dinner in the city to eat in the sky manse while we discussed plans... though I don't know where my wife was..."
He shook himself from the reverie before continuing. "The manse we found just now with the aid of the jokun is the underground one from both our dreams... and I found a long lost project down there, another one of my dreams... but the control mechanisms wouldn't allow me to access the sky one - it seemed to indicate it wasn't there... but I don't know if it's just a faulty pathway. We'd need to build a safety device if we wanted to explore that option..."
He tailed off, just staring at Ferric and the implications being drawn forth from History.

'Your wife, Azir? What was her name? I ask because my husband was a man who was capable of designing charm-preventing manacles'. He stares at Azir and strokes his chin thoughtfully but his face is unreadable.
'And speaking of swords, I had another dream where a dawn caste who was worryingly possessive about her sword damn near killed me in what I thought was a friendly duel'. Again, his face is quite unreadable, because he is using a socialise excelleny.
He sighs and turns to face Raiden and Fox.
'I told you everything I know about the Fae, which is to say nothing (although I should have told you that I know nothing). That's why, as I said, I think that going East isn't a wise idea. At least not yet. If you have a safer link into the world of the wyld, Fox, it may be worth pursuing that first'.

Ferric jerks backwards 'Hang on a minute - are you saying that I was a woman?' Ferric is slightly appalled. He certainly doesn't remember anything like that in the dreams. He makes a mental note to check in the next one, whilst giving Azir an uneasy look.
'Anyway, as I said, I'm excited about the manse but the work that needs doing here may have to wait a while. It sounds like I might be needed to protect people out in the wyld.' Ferric is quite chuffed that he has an excuse to go off into the wyld.

"As intrigued as I am by this faery queen, I too am uncertain of the wisdom of heading East purely on the basis of the vision you describe. That would mean great danger - which I am not afraid to face, but at least there should be a sound reason for going. How can I be certain that this faery queen will not trick me into swearing the oath?
I wonder if there is any way that we can find out more before we go rushing in."

"No such thing as a 'safe' link into the Wyld, Kairos. I know my way around Firewander a bit, at least the bits that stay roughly the same. But that's about it. If you mean Zaph, you're welcome to go and speak to him - I think he's still around. He might know something about the other queen, too, you never know."

Grey Wolf looks at Kairos 'hmmm, it sounds as though we have had an altercation in the past friend Kairos. I believe I was, and still am, possessive of my swords...' He give Kairos and meaningful look.
'However, gathering more information before we leave sounds an excellent plan - the more information you have about your enemies and the terrain before you go into dangers the better your strategy can be. As long as it does not take too much time. I am keen to retrieve what I have lost and build stronger links to my former life. I feel there are......insights to be had from doing so.'

Azir swallows, any previous plans now gone at Kairos' new revelation, and he hesitates before turning a measured look towards his charismatic companion. "She was... her name... it's..." and pauses as recollection fails him. With a sorry shake of his head, he continues, "I'm afraid whilst my dreams have shown me her beauty, they have been somewhat remiss in reminding me of her name.
"I think I spent a lot of time in my workshops... many of my plans were so complex... but she didn't begrudge me the time there. Or with Ahlanna. We even had a son, Menhir... And my name was Askrin. We were very happy together..." He pulls back from the memory to look Kairos squarely in the face. "I think."
Azir coughs, to cover nervousness and embarassment in equal measure, and turns away. "Well, if we're being logical about this, I guess I could check if any of the plans we found in the manse here match those for manacles you describe. I suppose that might put the matter beyond question..."
