As the lengthy and constructive discussions come to an end, Grey Wolf nods decisively.
"So we are agreed and our course is set. I shall take care of my part now."
Greywolf takes a decisive step away from the group and begins his arcane chanting. The light of his anima gathers into the familiar form and the group watch as his infallible messenger appears. Although that have seen this many times before, each is struck by military baring and appearance of the tiny messenger...
"Take this message to Daplh, and travel like the storms themselves -
Friend Dalph, we have need of you. The forces of Grey Falls are stirring and the Realms eye is focusing towards Tredemin. We have allies in Yu Shan who have the power to move the City out of halms way, but it will take time, approximately four weeks. We have plans to disrupt their effort but you will be needed to defend the City should all else fail. Bring all the men you can to Tredemin post haste. War is coming my friend and you will want to be a part of it”
The shinning messenger listens intently and salutes to Grey Wolf before it suddenly vanishes.
“Now it all begins.”

Kairos gives a quick nod of satisfaction, turns on his heels and stalks off without another word towards the barracks he has commanadeered for his elementals.
After the two garda birds have summoned the ifrits back from the city boundaries where patrol, he instructs them on their task.
They are to split into two groups; 6 ifrits and 1 garda bird per group (the 2 jokun are to remain with him). They are to travel as fast as possible towards Greyfalls, one group heading for the villages to the north west of the city, and the others heading for the north east.
The garda birds are to scout out villages supplying the city that have a small or non-existent DB garrison. Once a suitable target has been found, the ifrit are to attack the village, targeting the granaries and food surpluses that would be used to feed the troops, or large portions of the fields if there are no such surpluses.
Kairos has the ifrit serving him in the role of 'protector of innocents' and so he's careful to stress no harm should come to the villagers. The aim is simply to split Greyfalls' attention even further. So they must also ensure that they escape without engaging in a fight, dematerialising and scattering as soon as the job is done.
Finally he detains the ifrit for a while longer whilst he writes out a series of letters for the two villages.
Citizens of Greyfalls,
Forgive me for naming you as such. I am sure your allegiances lie elsewhere, but since Greyfalls has claimed you produce and thus your allegiance, it seems I must treat you as such.
If my order have been successful none, or very few of you have been harmed today, though I do not doubt that you are scared. I have attacked only those supplies which would go to the armies who mass to attack Tredemin and left enough for you to feed yourselves. I am sorry if the forces at Greyfalls take even those for themselves.
My hand has been forced. Although I recognise you as innocents in this war, the armies who you feed do not see the citizens of Tredemin in the same light. They plan to raze the city, and destroy not only our fighting men, but our women and our children. I fight to defend them and I do so not by going to war, but by attempting to force The Realm's forces home.
I hope you will see who serves justice, and join me in doing so.
The King of Tredemin
[Maniuplation + linguistics, using my linguistics excellency for 9 extra dice. I'd like to make 3 attacks to create an intimacy towards liking Tredmin/not liking Greyfalls. One per para]

[You have no way of knowing how far away Dalph is, or when he will be able to get a message to you. But thanks to IM you can be sure he got it.
The elementals prepare and head off. You suspect they will be gone at least a day, maybe two.]

"If we are all agreed then, I shall be in my laboratory. It shouldn't be too difficult to brew something that will sap their resistance to the disease Friend Fox will call upon. Simply a matter of 'reversing' some of the innoculants I currently use. There is the matter of delivery into the city. Water or food-borne would be best but since most of us are personas non grata, if you'll pardon the Old Realm, in Greyfalls and I doubt my mind tricks will be usable again, I guess such would fall to Raiden to administer.
"If time permits I might also work on something to impair their hearing so that communications are disrupted."
Deliberations over, Azir leaves the meeting room and heads to the part of the palace he commandeered for his laboratory, the Queen having readily agreed upon his 'appointment' as Court Physician.
Surveying his equipment, decent though it is, he can't help but sigh as it seems a pale reflection of the resources that his dreams have shown he had at his disposal. *Some day soon I will have that back, then we shall see what new wonders I can devise* he muses. Gathering his materials, he uncovers the first notes he has been working on for the troop enhancer potion and shakes his head despairingly that he has not the time to work on it now.
As he potters about, lamenting in his head the lack of a decently qualified assistant, he mutters the minor invocations to the craft gods and least gods of the herbs to bind potent efficacy into his efforts. He labours intensely, drawing strength from the results of his previous work on the poison and re-infusing that into the brewing process.
*The power to assist my friends, the power to help those I care about, to help Tredamin in its time of need, to buy the time that we all need. With devotion to the ideals that we cannot lose here, that we have worked hard for, that will lift us into a new dawn. Our enemies must falter so that we do not stumble. Health inverted here will become health reverted anew - give us the time, Sol Invictus, to work and light the way.* Whispering this mantra, Azir slowly binds the necessary power into his tools and his work, letting it slip softly and fill the spaces between the drops, between the material and the metaphysical... and hopes this will help the entreaty that Fox should be making.
