Or I could just go in invisibly and do it. Whichever, really.

Raiden Shadowfire, Vector of Anarchy (Though that style of title reminds me of my aborted attempts to make a Buffy CCG )

I think it would be worthwhile Raiden going into Grey Falls anyway. Get intel. Perform sabotage and poisoning. Spread misinformation.
Basically if people want to give me a shopping list of things to do at Grey Falls then I can go in all covert, like.
I was thinking spreading rumours that the Tredemin forces are much bigger than they really are might be quite a good plan, though I need a new charm or two if I'm going to do that with really high-level effectiveness.

I think this is a great idea. If nothing else it may make Greyfalls take more time to build up their soldiers to overcome our powerful odds. What about suggesting that Tredemin also has a mystery ally who is supplying extra troops? My thinking is that we could suggest that another city (one of the cities with a bad ruler) is helping us, possibly causing them to split there forces to take out the other city, thereby dethroning an unscrupulous ruler. Does this sound like a use able plan?

I think it depends on how good their intelligence is. Assuming they haven't had spies operating in/around Tredamin during this period, they are not expecting our forces to be sizable, a few hundred tops. So against this low number they were intending to field a minimum of two legions (2k troops). Now if they know we have Maluka's troops (likely), then it still looks like we would be facing 2-3 legions of troops. Therefore, they may not necessarily be concerned about a reduction in their numerical superiority (from >6× down to about 2×) - especially since they are probably better trained and better equipped than our forces.
That said, spreading false information can't really hurt (unless we get caught) and it may push them into sending out more spies or reconfirming their information. As for the other part about another ally, I can't see them actually splitting their forces without strong information to prove it - though they may take the time to confirm which would work in our favour.
Maybe if the rumours/disinfo was spread amongst the common soldiers, there is a slim possibility that they will be more disenchanted by having to face odds less in their favour than expected (i.e. the Anathema have used their fell sorceries to make their troops fight like demons).

Are we going to need a mini-session to get all this sorted?
If not, I suggest we start some IC posting asap.

i'm thinking that despite my intentions we probably will need a session to finish this stuff off - but we may not need all 6 players.
i also think i may not be free now til the weekend of the 24th/25th. unless we want to go for a friday night again. in theory that should work, snce we have a hard in game deadline....

I'm happy with either boards or F2F. If F2F and you're not free weekends, then Fridays are good for me until 23rd.

Then I figure it would be quicker on the boards. Probably better as well, since I figure that it would be quite disjointed, as in we all have one or two things to do individually.
Can we assume that we've been having a big IC discussion where we reached the conclusions we have in this thread, and then just start describing how we put the plans into actions. We can always come back here for further consultation as we go along.

That sounds like a fair course of action. Has anyone spoken to BR about getting Fox to summon a disease god coz I think a fair portion of the plan depends on the willingness/success of this?

BR has been busy but we spoke last night, and he says he is planning to catch up on developments asap. he also said that he was more than happy for things to play out on the boards. the action list provided above is a good place to start.
1) Contact Dalf 2) Use elementals to attack the guild caravans and the outlying villages to stretch Greyfalls' forces 3) Prepare and spread a plague 4) Prepare a flood-based trap on the road the army will take to get to Tredemin 5) Drop a giant elemental on their Central HQ (if such a thing is possible). 6) Unleash the flood trap (if the army do march)
though it may have changed now....
ponit 1 on this list is Grey Wolf's action, so when he sees this he should feel free to kick off an IC thread.

Right. I haven't read the IC stuff yet, so apologies if this is redundant. My thoughts are basically:
(4) above: Do some negotiation with / prayers to the god of the river? Quicker & simpler than damming it or similar, and the god would likely be pissed if we did that, which would probably lead to Bad. Fox is quite happy to do this, given that he is all priestly.
Other than that, Fox looks pretty redundant, unless maybe you want him to pray to a disease god. I'm fine with Fox being redundant, just checking. (BSR, if that's the case, maybe a catch-up session one-on-one? Anyway...)
Finally, and most importantly: Will that be enough? Doesn't seem like a lot to me...
