If you have taken command could you tell me what weapons and armour you would ideally like your troops to have

BSR commands 125 troops, with chopping swords and bows. There are suitable heroic mortals in the group that he need not worry about relays, and several of the mortals are qualified to lead the troops.
Alexelf commands 25 troops with superior equipment. He need not worry about relays because he only has 25 troops.
Your troops are ostensibly engaged in war games at the relatively close Wavecrest Archipelago, about 4 days away.
Now may be a good time to tell you that you have been entrusted with a submarine, as described in Wonder of the Lost Age (can't remember the official name but it should be clear which one). It also has a mortal crew, although being mortals they are merely adequate. They, and the submarine, are yours to use as you see best. You will begin the campaign in said submarine, a few hours out from Simenare, and I wouldn't mind putting some stuff on the boards now - I'll begin in a a few minutes.

I command 250 troops (IIRC - Command 3), with basic DB legionnaire equipment, i.e. probably chopping swords and bows also. (Armour?) I haven't taken anything else bar a second-in-command Ally - so don't know about heroic mortals; probably none?

I can't be bothered with relays, so assume you have enough.
In other news, Cobalt has been appointed your Commanding Officer, by virtue of being smarter than the rest of you.
In game terms, this means he's the one who will be given information from your bosses. You would expect him, as CO (a position you've all had on other missions) to be given a more detailed mission briefing when you're nearing your destination.
Almost as if to allow you all time to discuss the scenario and strategy in-depth.

I can't believe that I'm only one who put 7dots in Mental and that Int 3 wins!

Slightly concerning, isn't it...? Still, one doesn't need intelligence to march the glory of the Realm over the smouldering corpses of one's enemies.

i don't need int; i have the immaculate texts and the thousand correct actions of the upright soldier, they do all my thinking for me.
