On arriving at the entrance of the parking garage, you find a police car parked outside and two policemen beside it conversing with someone in what looks like a security guard's uniform. Through the entrance you can make out more police and two ambulances - one yours, one not. A stretcher, complete with body bag, is being loaded into the second.

Damn it, hmm, i could pretend i found this paramedics uniform discarded on the side of the road, meh too slow, lets try brazen. Actually, for appearences sake lets approach the garage from a direction such that i cant see inside, then report my ambulance stolen to those guys, and try the damsel in distress routine. Right lets go.
Picking up my pace to a trot i reach the car, slightly flushed, 'Excuse me officer', pause for breath, 'Have you had reports of joyriders in an ambulance? If you have could you report me in the right direction?', said slightly too fast, but still clear.
I pause for just long enough hoping that he takes note of my paniced manner, but not long enough for him to get a word in (being in the police he should have people skills, well i hope) 'You'd be doing me a massive favour, i have never lost an ambulance before,' looking down the road i gently bite my lower lip, 'My boss will be so pissed if he finds out'

He turns away from his colleague who continues speaking to the guard. "Stolen ambulance? Can I get your name, and the license plate?" He jots the former down, and compares the latter to something on his pad. "Yeah, that's it alright. We found it inside here," - he points with his thumb - "about an hour ago. Can I ask you exactly what you saw? Where were you when it went missing - did you see who took it at all?"

"Sorry i didnt see any faces, but i really could do with having the ambulance back if your done with it?" Looking hopefully, and a good sight calmer now, into the tanned face of the officer, who was just looking suspiciously back. "I'm sorry, im not able to do that. Are you sure thats all Miss, you say faces why do you assume its more than one?" With a definate furrow appearing on his brow as he tapped his pencil against his pad.
I let a, well what i think is, a thoughtful expression cross my face, as if thinking hard. "Oh!" My eyes go wide, a small exclamation of laughter escapes my mouth, *Having just thought of a good cover, but wanting it to look like im a tad ditsey, oh he's so going to help me, this is going to be fun* "heh! i can't believe i forgot about this!" - "I want to report a gun fight."
His reaction is satisfactory, eyebrows raise "Really miss? Can i take your statement of events?"
"Well" - now giving off an aura of self importance *yay for cockiness and self importance being so similar in expression* "I recieved a call from an acquaintance of mine, Krystal" I pull his pad down with my finger "Thats spelt K-R-Y-S-T-A-L" releasing his pad, "I have been talking with her about volenteering at the womens shelter, anyways, i got a call from her as i was coming off shift to say to come and help with one of her charges who had gone into shock. Seeing as it was on my way back i stopped of and went to the address Krystal said and..."
"What was the address?" he interjected
"Oh sorry, 201 Newbury Street. Anyways, when i got there i went in through the front door and was lead upstairs by Krystal, whist asending she explained to me that a man from lauras past had come round, something to do , spoken with her, after he had left laura had gone upstairs into her bathroom and hasn't said a word since and is just sitting rocking. We got as far her ensuite door, when a gunshot came from downstairs, which was followed by an almighty ruckus, crashing, more shots. Then silence, we ventured downstairs, and it was as if a hurricane had hit. Also there was blood on the wall, it was smeared downwards, from about waistheight to about the floor. Perfectly timed, laura came downstairs, saw it, went and sat down in her chair just looking at the phone. I tried to talk her round, but got nothing she was now definatly in shock. At some point i must've caught a glimpse at the time, realised that i was now running very late to getting my ambulance back. Told Krystal what to do for laura whilst i took my ambulance back, but when i went to get it it had gone. So i went back in, laura now looking calmer, with a cup of tea down her, and Krystal had called some of Lauras friends, who would be here in 5 mins, so i asked laura to drive me around to see if it had been dumped, if not then to take me to the police station." By now the officer had filled a sheet and was flipping to the next. "Right, on the way we came past what looked like a gunfight, i got Krystal to stop, for there was no ambulance there and there was an officer down, i bandaged him as best i could, and told another officer at the scene what to do, then go back in the car, to continue looking." The officer had stopped writting now, and was looking at me.
"Why didn't you report the incident to the officers then, surely this could have been committed by the same people?"
"Well if it had then there would be a good chance that they were near and the ambulance if it was to be dumped was close, and i really wanted to get it back, i was already late, and kind of dragged Kyrstal back into the car with me and got her to drive. But time streached on, no luck. She had to be getting to work, was going to drop me off at the station so i could report it, but with me being as stubborn as i am, still believing the ambulance to be in the area, persuaded her to drop me off and i would look for another 45 mins max then go to the station." I shrugged-"A while later i found you and my ambulance."
As i say the last few words, i look into the garage, and *appear* to notice the other ambulance with shock, pointing, "Not more!" My arm drops, "Im not getting my ambulance back am I? You're going to want it for forensics-i've seen it on tv. I'll just text Sam what's happened" Whilst getting my phone out, "Oh he's my boss" As i begin to type a message explaining everything that ive said, thats key and send the message to Sam, Kyrstal and Monica. While typing "Is there anything i can do officer, to help i mean, with the person or people in the other ambulance? And when do you think ill be getting my ambulance back?"

"No, I think we've got everything under control here - the only bloke we found was dead before we arrived, and your colleagues have taken care of him." He gestures vaguely towards the ambulances. You glimpse another paramedic closing the back doors of one. "As far as getting the vehicle back goes - we'll be liasing with the hospital about taking it for forensics. I'm sure your bosses'll be able to fill you in."
"Now, this other gunfight you mentioned - was this over on Medlock Street? It was? Hmm. Did you see the fight itself, or just the aftermath? If you wouldn't mind I'd like to ask you to come to the station to give a full statement about all this, either now if you have the time or in the morning."

Looking at the sky, "Its aufully late officer, and seeing as ive had a long and eventful day, id be glad to get home." The doors of the other ambulance slam, i hear the engine start. "Okay Miss, can you come to the station tomorrow morning then?" As he flicks his pad shut, the other ambulance pulls up beside us, the policeman turns and nods to the driver, i manage to brush my hand against the side, behind his back. The ambulance pulls away, and starts off down the road. "I take it your going to my ambulance towed, it wouldnt be good for it to be nicked again" I say smiling, wanting him to turn back to me. As he does a squeal of tyres is heard...

...as the ambulance, seeming suddenly to possess a mind of its own, lurches onto the pavement in front of the garage. It swerves back and forth a couple of times, narrowly avoiding a lamppost or two as the driver struggles to regain control.
Just as the vehicle reaches the far side of the garage, some fifty yards from you, a figure steps out around the corner of the building. There's a screech of brakes and you catch a momentary glimpse of their face upturned in fear before they go flying, and the ambulance finally shudders to a halt.
Barely before you or the three people with you can react, though, the pedestrian is back on her feet. She leans momentarily against the bonnet as though catching her breath, then turns back the way she came, and is gone.

We turn to look at each other in confused astonishment, then burst into a run, with the officer reaching the ambulance first, but only just and pulling open the door "What the hell just happened?" As he stares at the paramedic, who has his head in his hands, "i don't know, it just seamed to get a mind of its own, I, i...." He trails off and shaking his head, "I hit someone" Turning around i look down the street, which is empty bar for a red landrover coming towards us.
Turning back, "Look, what ever happened i think we should get you checked over, we can take you to the hospital and drop the body off there at the same time. Your friend," pointing to the face that has just appeared between the headrests of the driver and passengers seat, looking at the badge, "Heidi, can keep an eye on you, on the way there."
Turning now to the officer, "Would it be okay if i were to take them to the hostpital, it's where they were going anyways, and this is a hit and run, but with the victum running, so i don't think charges will be pressed, is that okay? I can take the ambulance to our garage to get it checked out for faults, but the breaks work, so"-in a more hushed tone-"would think its more due to human error than machine."

"Jesus, this is really more than I need tonight. Sure, you go ahead. I guess we'll need to take a statment from you on this, too..."
The driver, Jake, opens the door and slides across to the passenger seat, letting you take the wheel. He gives you a grateful nod as you ease the vehicle off the pavement and start driving.

On the way to the hospital, i talk to Jake about what happened, pointing our that the woman wasn't hurt so he shoudn't feel bad. Heidi points out that she is okay, a bit shaken but nothing cut, the back of the ambulance will need tidying up though. He continues to insist that the ambulance was fighting him for control, i nod saying ill take the ambulance in for checks, but that he should get checked out, for look im driving it and its being perfectly fine. The conversation moves to normal cab chat (well for paramedics normal, comparing situations that we've beeen in like battle scars)
Whilst realising: *If i can just get Heidi out of here i perform a little autopsey of my own, there's enough equipment in the back i think, it would be good to know the anatomical structure of a werewolf, anything would be useful, then heal him back up and take him to the morgue. Heh, this is too easy, ive go it, itll work like a charm.*
Upon pulling into the hospital emergency entrance, "Heidi, could you take Jake here in to get seen to and ill take our friend here to the morgue? We don't want to block this entrance, they'll be people that need it more." As i nod towards the sound of incoming sirens "Im assuming that was where the officer wanted him?"

[Jake doesn't in fact insist that the ambulance was 'fighting' him - he puts it down to a momentary slip in concentration.]
"Thanks Carrie, but I'm really feeling fine, honestly. I think I must just have leant on the wrong pedal. We can take care of this from here, but thanks again for the lift back." Heidi, meanwhile, has opened the back of the ambulance and is sliding the stretcher out.
