Will some of the stuff we've been fucking with for exalted modern apply?
Not so much firearms (although my character could make an uzi) but expression rather than linguistics, shorter social combat ticks and so on?

Ermmmmm. I think I will be sticking with the vanilla rules on linguistics. They aren't as good, but they are more appropriate in the original setting.
I will keep the changes to social combat. So linguistics can still apply bonuses in social combat, ticks of variable lengths etc.

How are you doing specialties by the way? Three dots in anything or one dot in a really broad thing and three dots in really narrow area or having three dots means you have three really narrow, two quite general and one v general, e.g. melee specialty in swords, two dice for daiklaves and three for my pink, singing daiklave?

I like the latter system; I also think you shouldn't show off about your pink, singing daiklave in public.
