A couple of notes about backgrounds available to DKs:
SAVANT
Bonus dice to any roll related to first age technology. Be it repair, operation, understanding or recreation. Each two dots also reduces by 1 the minimums a character needs to be able to create high level artifacts etc. This means for 3 dot artifacts;
Savant 0 - you need 5 in craft/lore/occult
Savant 2 - you need 4 in craft/lore/occult
Savant 4 - you need 3 in craft/lore/occult
ARTIFACT
This background works the same for Dragon Kings as it does for Dragon-Bloods.
MANSE
This background works the same for Dragon Kings as it does for Solars. However, the character will think that it works the same as it does for Dragon-Bloods, but will find upon waking that many of their hearthstones are broken.

Yeah. Basically if you want to put dots in manse feel free. You'll get one manse equal to the dots you put in. However, IC you believe you have a bunch of hearthstones each (probably mostly minor ones), but on waking up you'll discover that a bunch of them have shattered. Basically you believe you have a kickass manse background. But you are wrong.  |

Awww, but I want an essence T-rex. We might also make up spells, since there were probably some only really relevant to dragon kings. Like a flying elemental steed to hunt down runaway baby Pteroks:)

Dragon Kings can learn it, but it was invented and pioneered by Exalts. Dragon Kings not so good with essence, especially when combined with ingenuity. |

LH has informed me he is having diffculty spending his 12 background points because so many of them are inappropriate for the campaign set up. I imagine this is true for many of you, though you may be trying to buy backgrounds that I would consider inappropriate anyway.
I am tempted to rule that backgrounds can be bought as high as five with the initial dots (costing double above 3). This would solve the problem of too many dots, and also allow easy access to some kick ass stuff. I would appreciate comments before I make this official?
