If she has babies she'll only cry when they die. Which they will. Why do you want a mount? You're a DRAGON KING. Bonus XP for real tears She can have a mount. What's cooler then a 7 foot scary magical lizard with orichalcum armour and daiklave? One riding a fucking T-REX!!!!!

Are there other dino-types we can ride? e.g. Ones which fly? Just in case, y'know, anyone was thinking of playing a Pterok but only 'coz they can fly...

No. Just no. Actually yes. But I don't think they are mounts so much as artifacts. The primary way of accessing Rathess in the first age was by air. You guys will all remember the preponderance of flying vehicles that came and went.

Another one. You guys are all so predictable. Though it is gonna be funny in your first fight. JDs raptok charges off to fight the big bad. All the Pterok circle in the air above - making occasional swooping attacks. Leaving; SH as her Anklok, desperately trying to prevent all her babies from dying.

You know, I think I might just play a Pterok and be done with it

I think everyone should be Ankloks with artifact wings...ooh I couls just have some artifact wings to keep up witht hem..though that might raise the artifact rating of my mail shirt quite a bit. I just thought babies make sense, since our race has practically died out and there'll be nothing for us to reincarnate into unless we train a number of little ones. If we get them trained/pray god get a solar to help, then we can leave them to run a school, while we flit about overthrowing, well everything.
Rathess isn't know for its T-rex's will I have time to nip away and find me one? / tame me some Simhata to raise some money / get some solar buddies. Though the problem with Simhata is, I could kill their mother and tame them, but the moment a lunar walked past glowing a bit they'd all rush off and come back with her to attack me:(

You are absolutely right about the babies thing. Whether it is a central feature of the campaign or not is up to you guys, but it is certainly an issue which should be addressed. as ancient Dragon Kings, you have been used to feeling immortal. You have memories stretching back millenia - before the primordial war, through the solar deliberative and the shogunate. When you wake up it's all gone. There is no system in place to make sure your rebirth happens as it should. The entire structure of your society has been pulled out from under you.
I can't remember where Tyrant LLizards are native to. I don't think it is too far from Rathess. If you do want a mount you can go and get any old kind you want. The simhata bonding thing could be a problem since exalts can undo it at will.

Ah different sorts of complaining:) I think Tyrant Lizards are from the south and rare even there, but I can give it a go. I was merely lamenting simhata not being a very good investment:) I was thinking my lass probably tracked rogue hatchlings. There wouldn't have really ever been any in the first age, other than some criminal's children etc, but everything got jumbled during the usurpation and contagion etc so there would have been many more. Ant now *wipes tear away* there are really only rogue little ones. I'm assuming, even though they were vicious killers, the younger ones could still be sort of tamed? Otherwise how did we ever keep them long enough to teach them anything? We can't have just imprisoned them for three years?

We can't have just imprisoned them for three years? That's what I'm doing with my kids.

Going way back to the craft-y stuff, I plan to have at least 20 points in various crafts so it's likely I'll be quite good with all the technology.

We can't have just imprisoned them for three years? Yeah pretty much. Except seven, not 3. And like I said, any non-elders that went into stasis with you went into stasis in seperate areas and you will have to lok for them when you wake up. Hint: there all dead.

You are absolutely right about the babies thing. Whether it is a central feature of the campaign or not is up to you guys Babies suck. We're Ancient DKs with 100BP. Anything that can challenge us will basically have 'kill all babies' as a reflexive ability costing 1m.

Until my character turns them into super-hyper-robot-babies.
I smell a spin-off campaign
