Astrogate and computer use will be the main skills for the co-pilot i would think. Plus you mentioned they can operate the pilot's gun so the pilot doesn't need to worry about it. I assume that's still on, too. Except that Y'Lemon can't do that anyway.

Yeah. Basically the pilot can double move or move and attack. Obviously if the co-pilot takes over shooting duties then double move is available more readily. Which allows mush greater maneuvarability as well as the extra speed.

Ok. However, that defeats the point of putting Y'Lemon on copilot "to free up a gunner". Anyone got any thoughts?
Y'Lemon would be best placed as an engineer, therefore, if he's any good at that - but I don't think he is, IIRC.

From the character sheets the only people it would be worth having at the engineering post are Lu and Raffie, in that order. With Y'lemon as co-pilot he is at least useful, and all the guns are at least operational. I suggest we go with the cuurent line-up. At some point we can either get a replacement gamorrean, who'll take over the a gun and free up Raffie for co-piloting duties leaving Y'lemon as medic, or have an Ion cannon fitted and lie to Y'lemon's cute and fluffy face about the actual amount of difference it'll make.

Remember the pilots gun is the least effective as well. So as much as it's cool, it's not nearly as worthwhile as the other three guns. And would also be the easiest to upgrade to ion-ness.

Yay for awkwardness.
Y'Lemon, however, will probably be more apologetic.

I'd rather have some awkwardness than 4 munchkins who all had the perfect builds to make the ship completely unbeatable with perfect builds.
And now that you guys know your stations you can begin putting points in stuff that will help when you have the opportunity.

where is your name 'a place to stand from', it rings a bell and i can't think where from It's from "Give me a lever and a place to stand, and I will move the Earth". Was that Newton? BSR will know. Also, is this happening still? I seem to be involved in 4 or 5 RP campaigns, only one of which is actually happening. If the others aren't, I'll make moves to start new ones

Not wishing to pre-empt (much) BSR, but I believe it was Archimedes (or at least attributed to a Greek philosipho-mathematician of his ilk).

Yeah archimedes was the man.
This is happening in theory. In practice I am too lame and too busy to organise a session. But I already have it half way planned.
BR - if you want to go ahead and can get at least 3 of the 4 players (+me) to turn up at the skyhouse at the same time we'll be good to go. the only barrier has been my failings as an organiser.

Yeah, my failings are such that I'm possibly not the best person to be vice-organiser either but I'll see what I can do. Maybe.
