A message is received from Maluka - it must have been sent a week or so after the solars took the troops away. It seems to have suffered some misfortunes in transit, and been delayed rather severely.

Slavion dead, suicide suspected, body missing. Situation dire, no troops to keep farms in line. Famine and disease spreading. Orders?

Azir studies the message, his face a mask against emotional display. "I fear it is too late. We... we took the difficult decision to leave Maluka to its fate in the hope that it could stand apart. This missive has suffered and been delayed, so we have no way of knowing if the situation is savable.
