Solos and general OOC threads don't have to be subject to this requirement I'd have thought. But GW's point above is that OOC threads do have to be subject to this. He is concerned that his opinion won't get voiced on threads like this one because the discussion moves faster than he can post. If we need to have a post limit, we need to have it on OOC threads like this as well, I think. GW, isn't that what you're saying?
Not necessarily for all OCC threads, although this is one where I think it would have been useful. For example, I would have liked to have had an opportunity to respond to LH's post of 8:20 at an earlier stage. While I recognise I could go back and quote each of the points I want to address discussions have moved on. [also recognise there is no way of getting round my limited ability to get on the forum.]
My actual point is closer to the one made by CS that there is the risk that a group discussion turns into a two way dialogue. Perhaps one option is the group decide as a whole (soon after the session) what each of there characters and then splitting into different groups for different activities. That way the groups themself could decide how they take their particular strand forward (although OCC discussions between characters, perhaps by e-mail before officially posting may help with my current problem).
My main concern was that the proposaled appeared to suggest that group would make a decision and then only 2-3 of the characters would take forward the actions with other characters taking no further in character roll (essentially standing on the sidelines and watching). My suggestion that LH would be in any such group was based on the fact that a lot of what happens on the forum is social based action, which Kairos is built for and it would therefore only be logical that he were part of the group. LH's suggestion that there is nothing to stop me startingmy own post suggesting I do independent action is a good one and could be part of a discussion to decide what we do after the session.
I personally have nothing against pdp, and was just highlighting that if so much of the story is advance on it as has been done recently it would be a problem for me to be heavily involved and for GW to add much. However, I agree with BR that there are certain things that work better face to face or through e-mail and I think we should consider all the options. His suggestion of small mini-session for certain things could be a way to go - it worked well for the mass combat. However, just like to highlight that this distance issue might hamper me here (I know, always brining up problem!), but if done during the week I would find it easier to attend. Mini-sessions could also be shorter and therefore easier to accomodate on a week night.
