Having seen the characters now, i'm more happy with the barbarian flaw.
How did everyone feel the first session went? Feedback is always appreciated.
I think we're wasting a bit of time in session to rules nitpicking. I think that from now on we will take ST call as final - make a note and look it up post-session. At which point the ST will apologise for being wrong and we will use the correct rule from there - unless it's really stupid.
Also - with the new combo rules. It's very important to declare the charms in it when you activate. The difference between including a defensive charm and not doing so is monumental.

I didn't especially notice it in this one - but anyway I agree it's not especially desirable and support your proposed resolution.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I've never played Solars in the original Exalted verse, and I loved the fact that we could just pick somewhere in the Hundred Kingdoms to start our empire of the Sun. RPing opportunities will no doubt be abound when we have to make difficult, ethically murky decisions to maintain our fledgling kingdom, as well as punching Abyssals in the face (or in Kilik's case, being converted, or in Fox's case, biting them in the face)
Definitely agree about the rules thing.

(...or in Fox's case, biting them in the face) Biting them in the leg is more likely, actually

Bit late, I know, but I really enjoyed the session. Suspect Azir's Virtue Flaw is going to be tested on a regular basis Still tinkering with build a bit, will definitely get some more excellencies, most likely the 2nd Occult Excellency. Question: Given that some of my Sorceries deal damage on Perception+Occult successes, can I buy extra successes for this with 2nd Excellency? Or can I not because it's a spell effect? Note for future: Stormwind Rider is not a mobile irrigation device! Or, at least, not in the way it was last session ... That said, are there any impoverished/arid areas that we could improve by using it as a quick way of transporting water and making regions more fertile?? That way, with a bit of prosetylising from Fox, we could prob make more ppl appreciative of the Unconquered Sun P.S. When are we next going to be able to play?

You can't use 2nd occult excellency in that way, cos charms can't be comboed with spells.
you could certainly look into that sort of thing - but there's likely to be more efficient ways of doing it.
next session - time before christmas seems unlikely, will attempt to set one up early in the new year.
